There are lots of options for what to wear for your maternity photos. What I aim for is for you to look amazing. What you would wear in normal day-to-day life may not necessarily look the best for photos so keep reading for my recommendations.
Your Pregnancy Photography Session
I am often asked what dresses, outfits or fabrics do I provide for your maternity photography session?
I thought I would write a post showing most examples of wardrobe choices I have in my studio. Starting off with the most popular
Silks & Flowing Fabrics
The lightest and most luxurious fabric when it comes to flowing it in a spectacular fashion. You'll see it used mostly in the Maternity Masterpieces where my skilled retouchers can turn your portrait into a magnificent work of art you'll be proud to print, frame and hang in a prominent place at your home.
Colours to select from:
White

Plus many more as it’s an ever expanding collection.
The Ultimate Maternity Gown Collection
Wondering what to wear to your maternity photoshoot? Look no further, I have handpicked this gorgeous collection of maternity gowns and dresses to create the feminine and romantic look that will turn your maternity photoshoot into a memorable experience.
Crop Tops & Dresses
If you are comfortable with wearing tight clothing and don’t mind showing off all of your gorgeous pregnant body curves, then a crop top or ‘the little black’ dress I have might be just the right outfit for your maternity pregnancy session. for you. Not only do these look modern and stylish, they’ll always look timeless too.
What do I have to offer:
I have a large selection of crop tops for every shape and size. Some are off the shoulder while others cover your arms. The dresses are of contemporary design and tend to be body hugging to show off your curvy maternity shape.
All I need you to bring to your pregnancy photo shoot is just your underwear.
All In White
One of the most popular maternity portraits I shoot uses sheer white fabric. Although these all might look the same, there are different shades of white, as well as different lengths for different portraits. Hope you like these as much as I do.
French Lace
I have purchased a very fine and delicate lace fabric which is so soft to touch and looks gorgeous on all the mums-to-be in their maternity portraits.
Skirts and Bandeau Tops
These are timeless and as popular as when I started to feature them in pregnancy photography sessions few years ago.
The white is still customer’s favourite but there are other colours to choose from too. The tops and skirts are all adjustable ensuring these fit all mums-to-be who would like to choose to wear them in their session.
Gowns & Other Garments
Gowns are very popular with ladies who do not wish to bare all but enjoy the feminine look that I can create with them.
When To Take Maternity Photos?
For an optimal capture of your bump, your pregnancy session should take place around the 30 to 32 week mark, or around 27 to 30 weeks if you are expecting twins.
