How do photoshoots work?
A step by step guide to your creative photography experience at my studio.
STEP 1: BOOK YOUR SESSION
When you are ready to book your pregnancy or newborn photography session- please call me on 07740866964 or fill out the contact form to check my availability. It is never too early or too late to book and sessions are offered on weekends as well as during the week.
Newborn baby sessions take place at my studio or I can travel to your home.
STEP 2: BEFORE YOUR SESSION
Your preferred date and time will be pencilled in my diary. Your selected package fee is payable in full at this time which books and confirms your maternity or newborn photoshoot.
Before your session I’ll email you some suggestions on what to wear. I encourage you to either email or WhatsApp me the style of portraits you would like me to capture for you. If you are not sure, don’t worry, I have lots of tried and tested poses plus am always experimenting with new pregnancy photography ideas too.
STEP 3: DURING YOUR SESSION
This is the most exciting part of your photography journey. Your photoshoot will be lots of fun and very relaxed. Prompts and guidance will be provided throughout your experience to ensure I capture beautiful portraits or you and your loved ones. I am here to capture your pregnant shape in a light you have never seen before.
Newborn sessions are always baby led - once your baby is completely relaxed that’s when I’ll start to capture their images. Of course beautiful family portraits are also included.
STEP 4: CHOOSING YOUR IMAGES
Within 1 week of your session your images will be ready for you to choose and select via a Zoom call. I have a specialist programme which helps you narrow your favourites with ease and I am sure you’ll really enjoy seeing your portraits for the first time.
I am here to help you make image choices if you wish, and offer any guidance to make sure the ordering process is really straightforward for you. We will discuss airbrushing as well as any frames, albums or folios you might want to display your maternity or newborn portraits in. There will be around 60 images for you to select from.
STEP 5: YOUR ARTWORK
After your portraits are professionally airbrushed, they will be presented in colour as well as in black and white and sent to you as digital images via Wetransfer or Dropbox. You will receive them within 10 to 14 days of placing your order (often much sooner). Frames, folios or albums will be ready 4 to 5 weeks after ordering.
You will get notified when your beautiful artwork will be on its way to your preferred address.
